hoarding support

Help with hoarding. At your pace, on your terms.

If your home has become overwhelming and you don't know where to start, you're not alone. I provide compassionate, hands-on hoarding support — no judgement, no clearance crews, no pressure. Just someone calm beside you who understands.

A calm, tidy bedroom — what's possible with ongoing support
what's possible

This is not house clearance.

Most hoarding services are run by clearance companies. They come in, clear out, and leave. The stuff is gone but nothing has changed — the same patterns, the same feelings, the same cycle.

I do the opposite. I work with you, not on your behalf. Every item is your decision. We go at your pace. If a session feels too much, we stop. If you change your mind about something, we put it back.

Nothing leaves your home without your say-so. That's the line I never cross.

I bring lived experience of mental health to this work. I've struggled with depression for decades, and I know the paralysis of a home that feels too far gone. I also know it's possible to come back from it — because I did.

what to expect

Your first sessions

  • We start with a conversation

Before I come to your home, we talk. You tell me what feels manageable, what's off-limits, and what you'd most like to change. There's no assessment form and no checklist.

  • The first visit is free

A 2-hour taster session. We pick the smallest, most manageable area and work on it together. You see how I work. I see what ongoing support might look like. No commitment after.

  • Nothing leaves without your say-so

This is the line I never cross. Every single item is your decision. I'm not here to declutter your home. I'm here to help you declutter your home, at your pace, with your choices.

  • We build a rhythm

Most clients who work with me on hoarding support choose ongoing sessions — fortnightly or weekly. We build sustainable habits together rather than doing a one-off blitz that doesn't stick.

why me

Lived experience, not just training.

Before Healing Spaces, I spent four years as a Lived Experience Professional in the NHS and two as a Peer Trainer at a Recovery College — including delivering a course called "To Keep or Not to Keep: Learning about Decluttering and why we hoard".

I'm DBS checked, trauma-informed, and trained at the Anna Freud Centre. But what matters most is this: I understand hoarding not just from a textbook, but from the inside. I know the shame, the overwhelm, and the paralysis. And I know what helps.

common questions

You're probably wondering

Is this the same as house clearance?
No. House clearance is about removing things quickly, usually after someone has moved out or passed away. What I do is the opposite — I work alongside you, in your home, at your pace. Nothing is thrown away, donated, or moved without your explicit agreement. This is support, not clearance.
What if I'm not ready?
That's completely fine. The free taster session has no strings attached. If you try it and decide it's not the right time, that's a valid outcome. Some people contact me months before they feel ready for a first session. There's no pressure and no expiry.
Will you judge me?
No. I've worked with homes in every state you can imagine, and some you probably can't. I've also lived through my own mental health difficulties and know what it's like when keeping on top of things feels impossible. I'm not here to judge. I'm here to help.
Can someone refer me?
Yes. Social workers, community nurses, housing officers, GPs, and family members can all make a referral on your behalf. I'll always speak directly with you before any work begins. Visit the professionals page for more about the referral process.
How much does it cost?
The first session is always free. After that, sessions are priced per session, not per hour. I hold discounted slots for people whose circumstances make full-rate sessions out of reach. See the pricing page for details.
Do you cover my area?
I work primarily in Ealing, Hounslow, and Hammersmith, and I'll travel up to an hour from W13 for the right project. If you're not sure, get in touch and we'll work it out.

Ready to talk?

The first step is a conversation — no commitment, no assessment form. Tell me a little about your situation and I'll come back to you myself, usually within a day or two.
