How we work
This explains how we usually work, as of 2 November 2026. What you sign is on What you agree to.
Who we are
- Organisers with lived experience of mental health.
- APDO members, following its code of ethics. ICO registered (ZC180019).
- Kari holds a DBS certificate (date on request).
- Professional indemnity, public liability and medical malpractice insurance, one combined limit of £1 million. Documents available on request.
Before and during a session
- We agree what matters most and how much time to spend.
- We aim to keep you informed about where the time goes.
- Say at any point if you want more time, a break, or someone you trust with you.
- For bigger decisions we may suggest someone you trust joins.
- If an exact start time matters, tell us when you book.
- We do not move heavy furniture alone.
- Anyone we bring is asked to keep what they see private.
Booking
- Message on WhatsApp, call or email, or use your own request link.
- Asking for a time does not book it. We offer a time by message or email, and your yes books it.
- We usually take bank transfer. The details come with your booking or invoice.
Donations, rubbish and selling
- Kari can take up to a couple of bags on public transport, free, where it suits on the day.
- We agree which charity and roughly when. If a shop cannot take something, it comes back to you or goes to another charity you agree.
- More than that needs a vehicle: you take it or book a collection. If we take donations by taxi, the fare is agreed first.
- We take donations only. Rubbish goes in your bins or with a registered waste carrier you arrange.
- We cannot carry paint, chemicals, batteries, medicines or sharps. Old sofas and armchairs need their own collection.
- We can help you list things for sale on your own accounts. You set the price and handle the sale.
